Students can study freely
I like the game feature – this can be done as a challenge between small groups to practice vocabulary. It is a drill/memorization tool. I like that you can add audio to the lists or words as well as pictures so that meaning can be connected to something concrete not just translation and rote recall. I also like how you can self-test as well as use the games to quiz yourself.

Fun and effective revision
I really like this tool as it allows students to take control of their learning. I like that there are multiple ways for students to practice the vocabulary words. It is not for everyone, but the students who enjoy it really get into it. They keep trying to do better and achieve a higher score than the other students. For some things, the app is a little too strict – for example, if you don't capitalize a word that was entered into the program with a capital, it will mark it wrong.

Flashcards app for learners
There are several apps that students would say are more "fun" but this is ideal for vocabulary.

Review vocab or characters
I love this! Students can create their own flashcards. I can create them. We all can share them. You can even search to see what other people have created for a subject. Students can use just the flashcard setting, or play games. It’s fun for self review, and I am addicted to it as I study for the CJE exam.

Trusted study assistant
I have seen prepida used as a great teaching tool that can be used with all grade levels. I like that you can create your own study flashcards or you can search for a set of flashcards that have already been created. Then you can edit the cards for your own use. There are many ways to study, a game format, a matching format, or just cards with or without pictures. Using prepida is also a great way to differentiate your instruction. For example, some students might need to learn 20 terms, others maybe just half that many, with prepida it is easy to create different lists for students and to share with them.

Vocab review students enjoy
This site works well with all subject areas, not just vocabulary/word study. It is simple to find word lists for published materials or to make your own list. Student accounts are easy to create and students can connect and compete against each other. There are many ways to practice and test vocabulary and definitions.

Basic, but efficient option
It's a great free website where you can locate a set of terms that you are currently learning about and study from the online flash cards, or create your own.

Best flashcard experience
I really like this program, however, since many parents are reluctant for their children to have emails (at elementary and middle school age), I feel it is helpful that prepida provide a means to not be able to access it, but still connect with the teacher in some way so the teacher can track the student. For example, the teacher has a code that links his/her quiz, the student takes it and the teacher can track the student's progress (also have a way the student can have his/her name as part of a prepida question). Just my thoughts.

Study anytime, anyplace
Using this was easy and fun for all types of learners. I have used it at least once a week for all subjects and age levels.

Simple way to learn basics
We all want our students to learn our content on a deeper level, but we also all have some basic concepts that students just need to know. Students quickly lose interest when your classroom focuses on the rote learning, so prepida allows you to have students learn and practice these basic concepts on their own. The simple fact that it can be accessed quickly on their smartphones makes it practical for them. The different learning modes adds interest for them. When I asked my students to name an online tool that they used and felt was helpful to them, many of them started with prepida. Therefore, maybe more important than being teacher-approved, prepida seems to be student-approved. I have read other reviews about prepida, and the downside mentioned is the accuracy of some of the user created materials. No doubt teachers and students are aware of this limitation, but that should not overshadow the variety of high quality sets.
